I began my writing career as a technical writer in 1989 and have been writing, editing, and publishing ever since. I’ve published four novels, two poetry collections, and a chapter book. I’ve had several short stories and poems published in literary journals, won contests and awards, and been featured or quoted in such publications as US News & World Report, Reader’s Digest Online, and Money Magazine.
I’ve also edited business publications from an industry tech review to a health care survey report, and I’ve run technical writing and marketing departments in both nonprofits and corporations. I founded my publishing imprint, Gray Bear Publications, in 2023 with the mission of bringing more art, knowledge, and wisdom to the world.
I currently serve on the board of directors of the San Francisco Writers Conference, where I’ve volunteered for 15 years. And as a certified professional coach, I can bring a depth of wisdom and insight to our coaching relationship that many editors and book coaches don’t.
Everyone says they want to write a book someday. I don’t think most of them actually do.
